EDUCATION ASSISTANCE PLAN. 23.01 The Company will provide financial assistance to an employee who partakes in a further education plan provided that plan is related to the type of work performed or to be performed by him at IMT, and that the plan will provide a benefit to both the employee and the Company. The plan requires approval prior to registration and application for approval will be made on a form provided by the Company. Financial assistance will be limited to the reimbursement of tuition fees. The receipt for tuition, as well as the certification upon successful completion of the program, must be presented to the Human Resources Manager for reimbursement. Costs associated with books, materials, time or travelling expenses are not refundable under this plan.

EDUCATION ASSISTANCE PLAN. Employees may be eligible for tuition-free state university and community college courses in accordance with section 1009.265(1), Florida Statutes, and as approved by the legislature.
EDUCATION ASSISTANCE PLAN. The Governor agrees to seek approval by the Legislature, which the Union will support, which would continue the existing program for the provision of tuition-free university courses.
EDUCATION ASSISTANCE PLAN. The Board will reimburse any Administrator for professional development activities, limited to a maximum of $3,200. In order to be considered for compensation, professional development activities must have the prior approval of the Superintendent. Employees will be granted release time for attendance at professional meetings, workshops, and visitations to other schools including such meetings, workshops, and visitations that may be scheduled in areas outside the State of New Jersey, subject to the approval of the Superintendent.

  • Educational Assistance Plan The state shall provide up to six credit hours of tuition-free courses per term at a state university or community college to full-time employees on a space available basis as authorized by law.

  • Education & Assistance Fund a. The Employer shall contribute and remit such contributions to the Union’s Education & Assistance Fund as specified in Schedule “A” for each hour worked by each employee covered by this Agreement.

  • Employee Assistance Plan The Board shall make available to eligible employees and their eligible family members, at no cost, an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP). Employee participation in and/or referral to the EAP shall be voluntary and confidential, except as to any disclosures required by applicable state law. All personal treatment records generated as a result of an eligible individual’s utilization of the EAP shall be maintained by the service provider and shall not be shared with the Board unless otherwise authorized by the eligible employee or the covered dependent, or by operation of applicable law. The contact person for the EAP services to be made available under this Agreement shall not be employed by the Board of Education.

  • Dependent Care Assistance Plan An employee may designate an amount per calendar year, from earnings on which there will be no federal income tax withholding for dependent care assistance (as defined in Section 129 of the Internal Revenue Code as amended from time to time.)

  • Transition Assistance If this contract is not renewed at the end of this term, if the contract is otherwise terminated before project completion, or if particular work on a project is terminated for any reason, Contractor shall provide transition assistance for a reasonable, mutually agreed period of time after the expiration or termination of this contract or particular work under this contract. The purpose of this assistance is to allow for the expired or terminated portion of the services to continue without interruption or adverse effect, and to facilitate the orderly transfer of such services to the Department or its designees. The parties agree that such transition assistance is governed by the terms and conditions of this contract, except for those terms or conditions that do not reasonably apply to such transition assistance. The Department shall pay Contractor for any resources utilized in performing such transition assistance at the most current contract rates. If the Department terminates a project or this contract for cause, then the Department may offset the cost of paying Contractor for the additional resources Contractor utilized in providing transition assistance with any damages the Department may have sustained as a result of Contractor’s breach.

  • Employee Assistance Program A. The State recognizes that alcohol, nicotine, drug abuse, and stress may adversely affect job performance and are treatable conditions. As a means of correcting job performance problems, the State may offer referral to treatment for alcohol, nicotine, drug, and stress related problems such as marital, family, emotional, financial, medical, legal, or other personal problems. The intent of this section is to assist an employee's voluntary efforts to treat alcoholism, nicotine use, or a drug-related or a stress-related problem.

  • Tuition Assistance Bargaining unit employees can enroll in university or college, vocational technical school or extension courses. The course may be by correspondence or attendance at classes during non-working hours or during working hours with approval of the Agency Head and/or his/her Designee. Where practicable, in relation to work requirements, the Employer shall be liberal with the approval of requests for accrued/unused vacation leave, flex-time scheduling, compensatory time, or leave without pay for the purpose of enabling employees to attend classes conducted during an employee's regularly scheduled work hours.
