Common use of Early Completion Clause in Contracts

Early Completion. The DB may attempt to achieve Substantial Completion before the required date of Substantial Completion. However, such planned early completion shall be for the DB’s sole convenience and shall not create any additional DB rights or Owner obligations under this Contract, nor shall it change the required dates of Substantial Completion or Final Completion. The Owner shall not pay the DB any additional compensation for achievement of Substantial Completion or Final Completion prior to the required dates nor will the Owner owe the DB any compensation should the Owner cause the DB not to achieve Substantial Completion earlier than the required date of Substantial Completion or Final Completion earlier than the required date of Final Completion.
