Duties of a Teacher. The duties of a teacher, in addition to teaching and associated duties (including programming, lesson planning, preparation, assessment, reporting and professional development) may include, but are not limited to, reasonable playground and sports duties, activities associated with administration, leadership and management, review, development and delivery of educational programmes, attendance at staff meetings and devotions, school assemblies and parent teacher meetings, pastoral care and student welfare, attending school camps, retreats and excursions (including overnight excursions where specified in the letter of appointment) and other co-curricular activities. A part-time teacher shall undertake the normal duties of a full-time teacher proportional to their load as required by the employer over the course of the year. The School will attempt to assist a part-time teacher to meet these requirements, by consulting with the teacher regarding the timing of such commitments.
