Common use of DURATION, MODIFICATION AND TERMINATION Clause in Contracts

DURATION, MODIFICATION AND TERMINATION. Section 1. Except for the provisions of Article XIX, Section 3.1, and Article XIX 3.1A, this Agreement shall be effective upon ratification and shall continue in full force and effect until 12 o-clock midnight on the 30th day of September, .2022. At least one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the termination of this Agreement, either party hereto shall notify the other party of intention to modify, amend or terminate this Agreement. Failure to notify the other party of intention to modify, amend or terminate, as hereinabove set forth, will automatically extend the provisions and terms of the Agreement for a period of one (1) year, and each year thereafter absent notification. In the event the parties hereto desire to modify or amend this Agreement and have been unable to agree on said modification or amendment by the termination date of this Agreement, this Agreement shall terminate without further notice.
