Common use of DUES CHECK-OFF Clause in Contracts

DUES CHECK-OFF. 7.01 The Co-operative agrees to deduct from the wages of each employee, such Union dues, and initiation fees as are authorized by the Union. The Co- operative further agrees to deduct the Union dues and initiation fees automatically from the wages of new or rehired employees' first pay. Monies deducted during any period shall be forwarded by the Co-operative to the Accounting Department/Bookkeeper of the Union via direct deposit not later than three (3) weeks following the end of the complete pay period and accompanied by an electronic spreadsheet containing the names and Social Insurance Numbers of the employees for whom the deductions were made and the amount of each deduction. The Co-operative shall also provide the Union with the name change of employees.
