Dues and General Assessments. All employees covered by Article 4, Section 1, shall pay a monthly fee to the Union equal to the Union's monthly dues and/or general assessments; such payment to be made by payroll deduction, provided that such deductions are authorized in writing by the employee. This deduction shall become effective on the first payday of the month coincident with or next payday following the completion of thirty (30) working days of employment. Deductions shall be made in respect of all subsequent months provided an employee works any part of the month.
