Common use of Donation of Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Donation of Sick Leave. a. If a part-time bargaining unit member is absent due to a major illness, injury or accident, or absent and using Sick Leave in accordance with Article 20, and the member has exhausted all of his/her accumulated Sick Leave, the member may receive up to five (5) days of accumulated Sick Leave from any Part-Time Certified or Part-Time Classified bargaining unit member who wishes to donate these days. Members receiving donated days will be paid at their regular rate of pay.

If a part-time member of the bargaining unit member is absent due to a major illnesscatastrophic or long-term illness or accident of the employee, injury his/her spouse or accident, or absent and using Sick Leave in accordance with Article 20minor child, and the member has exhausted all of his/her accumulated Sick Leavesick leave, another member of the member bargaining unit may receive donate the closest number of hours to the closest quarter hour equaling the sum total of monies earned by the absent employee up to five (5) days of accumulated Sick Leave from any Part-Time Certified or Part-Time Classified bargaining unit member who wishes to donate these days. Members receiving donated days will be paid at their regular rate of paythe absent employee’s wages.

Donation of Sick Leave. a. 6.141 If a part-time bargaining unit member is currently absent for thirty (30) consecutive workdays or more due to a major illness, catastrophic injury or accident, or absent and using Sick Leave in accordance with Article 20serious long-term illness of the member, and the member has exhausted all of his/her accumulated Sick Leavesick leave, the member a bargaining unit member(s) may receive donate up to five (5) days of his/her accumulated Xxxx Leave to the absent member. Bargaining unit members whose Sick Leave from any Part-Time Certified or Part-Time Classified bargaining unit member who wishes to donate these days. Members receiving donated days will be paid at their regular rate of payhas been depleted by intermittent use shall not qualify for this benefit.
