Discussions Before Termination. Where the Employer has made a definite decision that a position is no longer required, and that decision may lead to the termination of employment of that Employee, the Employer shall hold discussions with the Employee directly affected as soon as is reasonably practicable, explaining the reason(s) for the proposed termination of employment, measures taken to avoid or minimise the termination and measures to mitigate any adverse effects of the termination.

Discussions Before Termination. 12.3.3.1 Where the Employer Company has made a definite decision that a position is the Company no longer required, requires the job the Employees have been doing done by anyone and that decision may lead to the termination of employment of that Employee, the Employer shall hold discussions with the Employee directly affected as soon as is reasonably practicable, explaining the reason(s) for the proposed termination of employment, the Company must have discussions as soon as practicable with the Employees directly affected and, where requested by Employees, their Union. Discussions must include: ▪ the reasons for the proposed terminations; ▪ measures taken to avoid or minimise the termination and terminations; ▪ measures to mitigate any the adverse effects of any terminations on the terminationEmployees concerned.
