Discretionary Leaves. The City, in its discretion, may grant, in its sole discretion, a leave of absence under this Article to any bargaining unit employee. The City shall set the terms and conditions of the leave, including whether or not the leave is to be with or without pay and/or with or without benefits. All requests for such leave must be submitted in writing by the employee via his/her department head to the City Manager. Such leave will be granted only when it is not detrimental to the best interests of the City.
Discretionary Leaves. The Employer may at its sole discretion grant a leave of absence to an officer for what it deems to constitute good and sufficient reason. The Employer shall at its sole discretion set the terms and conditions of the leave.

The Chief of Police or the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners in accordance with its rules may grant a leave of absence under this Article to any bargaining unit employee where it is determined there is good and sufficient reason. The Chief of Police or the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners shall set the terms and conditions of the leave, including whether or not the leave is to be with pay.
Discretionary Leaves. The Village, in its discretion, may grant a leave of absence under this Article to any bargaining unit employee. The Village shall set the terms and conditions of the leave, including whether or not the leave it is to with or without pay and with or without benefits.
Discretionary Leaves. The Vice-President Academic in consultation with the Department Head, and the President, may grant or extend any leave to a Sessional Academic Staff Member whether with pay, with partial pay, or without pay.
Discretionary Leaves. It is the intent of the District to ensure the integrity of the educational program while providing faculty members with opportunities to grow and develop. Discretionary leaves may be paid or unpaid leaves. Each type of leave requires a process by which the faculty must apply for the leave. Paid Discretionary Leaves include:
Discretionary Leaves. The Superintendent has the power to grant any additional leaves as deemed necessary. These days do not accumulate and are not to be taken from any personal illness days.
