Discipline Based on Warning Notices. Before imposing a disciplinary penalty or discharge which is based upon the cumulative effect of written warning notices, the Company will notify the employee concerned one week in advance. The matter may be made a subject for grievance discussions, but such discussions shall not prevent imposition of the penalty pending their final outcome, and in the event it is determined that an employee has been improperly penalized, he will be reimbursed for any loss of wages sustained as a result of the imposition of the penalty.

Discipline Based on Warning Notices. Before imposing a disciplinary penalty or discharge which is based upon the cumulative effect of written warning notices, the Company will notify the employee concerned one week in advance. However, if a week or more has passed since the date the Company provided written notice of the infraction to the Local Union’s designee, no such notification is required prior to imposing the disciplinary penalty or discharge. For the purpose of this Section, electronic mail shall be considered written notice. The matter may be made a subject for grievance discussions, but such discussions shall not prevent imposition of the penalty pending their final outcome and, in the event it is determined that an employee has been improperly penalized, he will be reimbursed for any loss of wages sustained as a result of the imposition of the penalty.
