Common use of Disciplinary Appeals Clause in Contracts

Disciplinary Appeals. For an employee who has received a suspension, dismissal, or reduction in pay, an appeal may be taken directly to step 2 of the Grievance Procedure in accordance with the timeframes for the filing of a Step 1 Grievance. For disciplinary actions that do not involve a loss in pay, such may be appealed through the grievance procedure beginning at Step 1, but are not subject to arbitration.
