Common use of Disability Plan Clause in Contracts

Disability Plan. The City will continue to provide a Disability Plan which provides sixty-six and two-thirds percent (66 2/3%) of base salary with a sixty (60) day waiting period. The employee will be required to utilize available leave accruals during this sixty (60) day waiting period. Benefits begin after the elimination period has been satisfied and all leave accruals have been exhausted.

The short-term plan provides sixty-six and two-thirds percent (66 2/3%) of base salary rate of pay for a maximum of two (2) years with a sixty (60) day waiting period. The employee will be required to utilize all available leave accruals during this sixty (60) 60 day waiting period. Benefits If the claim is approved by the carrier, benefits begin after the elimination period has been satisfied and all leave accruals have been exhausted. In addition, the long-term disability plan becomes available on the 181st day of disability and is sixty-six and two-thirds percent (66 2/3%) of base salary.
