Dirty Pay Sample Clauses

Dirty Pay. Employees engaged in cleaning and repairing the interior of the sewage treatment tanks or sewer pumping station or cleaning up any sewage spill or entering any sanitary sewer manhole for work entailing more than one (1) hour and on the instruction of the supervisor, shall receive an additional one (1) dollar per hour while so engaged, payable in hourly increments.

Dirty Pay. Laundry employees required to sort heavily soiled laundry shall have up to 15 minutes before their meal break and before the end of their shift for the purpose of personal wash up and shall be paid a premium, effective March 29, 2009, of 90¢ per hour for all hours on each shift so worked, provided they have worked at least one hour of the shift under such conditions.

Dirty Pay. Dirty pay in the amount of forty (40) cents per hour will be paid in addition to the regular rate of remuneration for a minimum payment of two (2) hours when an employee is required to work under conditions which would subject clothing and protective equipment supplied by the employee to abnormal wear and tear or subject the person of the employee to working conditions which are unusually objectionable. This would include coming in contact with hot mix asphalt, asphalt emulsions, raw sewage, sewage sludges, sandblasting or spray undercoating of vehicles, digging up xxxxxx for disinterment, bulldozing fires and repair work inside garbage truck packers. Approval of "dirty pay" shall be at the discretion of the direct management supervisor. Up to three (3) employees engaged in the exhumation of a body or clean-up following a fatality shall be paid an additional forty dollars ($40) bonus for such work and, following the exhumation or clean-up, shall be allowed to take the rest of the day off with pay. In addition, counselling services will be made available on paid time for these employees as required.
Dirty Pay. Effective July 1, 2020 employees performing any assigned work classified as “dirty work” shall receive an additional one dollar ($1.00) per hour over their regular classified rate of pay with a minimum of four (4) hours pay if they perform “dirty work” under four (4) hours and a minimum of eight (8) hours pay if they perform “dirty work” over four (4) hours. The parties agree that cleaning grease traps in commercial kitchens is dirty work. Any other work that is considered dirty must be mutually agreed upon in writing by both parties.
