ARTICLE 29 Entry into Force (1) Each of the Contracting States shall notify to the other the completion of the procedures required by its law for the bringing into force of this Agreement. The Agreement shall enter into force on the date of receipt of the later of these notifications. (2) The provisions of the Agreement shall apply: (a) With regard to taxes withheld at source, in respect of amounts paid or credited on or after the first day next following the date upon which the Agreement enters into force; and (b) With regard to other taxes: (i) In Botswana, in respect of income tax, on taxable income derived on or after the first day of July of the year next following that of the entry into force of this Agreement; and (ii) In Mozambique, in respect to taxable years beginning on or after the first day of January next following the date upon which the Agreement enters into force. ARTICLE 30
DIPLOMATIC AGENTS AND CONSULAR OFFICERS. Nothing in this Agreement shall affect the fiscal privileges of diplomatic agents or consular officers under the general rules of international law or under the provisions of special agreements. ENTRY INTO FORCE This Agreement shall enter into force on the later of the dates on which 1. the respective Governments may notify each other in writing that the formalities constitutionally required in their respective States have been complied with. This Agreement shall have effect: 2. in respect of tax withheld at the source to income derived on or after 1 January in the year next following that in which the Agreement enters into force; and
