Development Engineering. The original request for cost sharing attributed to this project with one source of external funding from NOHFC resulted in a City share of approximately $760,617.19 of the approximate $2,028,312.50 cost of construction for the entire project. Since the original approval, the project has successfully acquired funding from FedNor, in addition to the NOHFC funding. This reduces the City's share of the project to approximately $507,078.13.

Manage the provision of development engineering services, including the assessment of planning and development applications, the determination of appropriate infrastructure conditions, and checking or overseeing engineering designs and construction of all developer funded infrastructure. • Manage the design approval process for all infrastructure works by Council or developers to ensure that infrastructure is designed and constructed to consistent and appropriate quality standards, and in accord with the Infrastructure Design Manual. Plant Equipment and Fleet • Coordinate the provision, maintenance and management of safe and serviceable plant, equipment and fleet relevant to works requirements of Council employees and departments. • Development and implementation of the forward capital replacement programs for the plant and light vehicle fleets. • Initial assessment of fleet related incidents and subsequent management of any associated insurance claims.
