Details of proposed training. Prior to or immediately following commencement of the winter season briefings shall be carried out for all personnel involved in providing the winter service. This shall include the following:  Refresher training for managers and supervisors on decisions, communication, contract requirements etc. provided by the Winter Service Manager.  Seminar to winter drivers detailing routes, contract requirements, response times, treatment times, communication, health & safety, areas requiring special attention and importance of providing good quality service, this again will be provided by Winter Service Manager.  New recruits to the winter service shall be fully trained prior to any involvement in providing the winter service. Details of proposed training. Prior to the commencement of the winter season, a training programme will be carried out for all personnel involved in providing the winter service. This will include the following: Refresher training for Duty Officers and Controllers on decisions, communication, contract requirements etc. to be provided by the Winter Service Manager. Seminar for winter drivers detailing routes, contract requirements, response times, treatment times, communication, health & safety, areas requiring special attention and importance of providing good quality service. This again will be provided by the Winter Service Manager. New recruits to the winter service will be fully trained prior to any involvement in providing the winter service. All drivers will be formally trained to SVQ/City & Guilds level or equivalent in winter maintenance. BEAR staff will also participate in the annual “snow desk” winter scenario training when requested.

  • Required Training For training that is required by the Agency, manager or supervisor, the Agency shall reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of all related necessary and legitimate expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, travel expenses, travel time, and attendance time. When practical, the Agency will attempt to adjust the employee’s hours if the approved training activity is scheduled during the employee’s normal work hours.

  • Mandatory Training The Department reserves the right to require the Charter School to attend any training related to the responsibilities of a Charter School.

  • Union Training Conditional upon prior approval of the course content and upon receipt of certification of completion, if the employee is an elected official or xxxxxxx of the Union, the City shall reimburse the employee for up to one-half of his or her regular work time spent in such training at the employee's permanent rate of pay, not to exceed twenty (20) hours of paid leave in a calendar year.

  • Driver Training A. All drivers are to be provided with appropriate training and refresher courses each year in the following areas as a minimum: * Proper use of equipment including communications equipment; * Defensive driving; * Emergency and accident procedures; * Identifying unusual passenger behavior; * Student harassment and bullying; * Conducting evacuation drills; * Sensitivity training in working with disabled persons; * Human relation skills in working with parents, school staff, etc; * General vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections; and * Map reading and city street coordinates. The Department of Business and Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program, upon request.

  • Safety Training Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute Section 292.675, Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Contractors and subcontractors in violation of this provision will forfeit to the public body $2,500 plus $100 a day for each employee who is employed without training. Public bodies and contractors may withhold/assess these penalties from the payment due to those contractors and subcontractors if found to be in non-compliance.

  • Off the Job Training Where it is agreed that an employee undertakes job related training provided by the Employer or by a Third Party, that training may be undertaken either on or off the job. Where courses are available during normal working hours, the employee has first option of attending training at these times. If such training is undertaken during normal working hours, the employee concerned will not suffer any loss of pay. Where the Employer requires an employee to undertake mandatory job related training after hours, single time rates shall apply. Any costs associated with standard fees for prescribed courses and prescribed textbooks (except those textbooks which are available in the Employer's technical library) incurred in connection with the undertaking of training will be reimbursed by the Employer upon production of evidence of such expenditure. Provided that reimbursement will also be on an annual basis subject to the presentation of reports of satisfactory progress. Travel costs incurred by an employee undertaking training in accordance with this clause which exceed those normally incurred in travelling to and from work will be reimbursed by the Employer.

  • Funding for Training (a) In furtherance of the objectives of clause 31 hereof, and as a further initiative to enhance the employment and career opportunities of the Employees, the Parties will continue to facilitate on-going training to improve occupational health & safety in the industry and to improve employees work skills so as to advance progression to higher industry skill levels.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Job Training The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes:

  • Staff Training VENDOR shall ensure that all staff providing direct Services receive continuing education and training as needed or required and that such education and training is documented.
