Designation of Beneficiary. For purposes of Section 4.2 hereof, the Director's Beneficiary shall be the person or persons so designated by the Director in a written instrument submitted to the Presidents of the Funds. In the event the Director fails to properly designate a Beneficiary, his Beneficiary shall be the person or persons in the first of the following classes of successive preference Beneficiaries surviving at the death of the Director: the Director's (1) surviving spouse or (2) estate.
