Design Model. A 3-D digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility, or the components or systems thereof, that encompasses building geometry, spatial relationships and quantities and properties of building components and systems and that are developed during the preconstruction (Design) phase of the Project. Reference sections 1.3.3.1 and 2.5.1.1.4.
Design Model. The design Model is to be made available in the ACC for the Queen's University’s analysis and audit at all major project milestones. The Prime Consultant will regularly interface with the architect. The model will be uploaded and submitted to Queen’s University by using the ACC platform at milestones and specific intervals. The model is to be coordinated with all major disciplines as defined in this document. The model must be used as an analytical tool to investigate architectural solutions while exploring elements of the design. It should assist in the functional program development and validate with regards to space distribution and functionality. It should facilitate investigations of buildings and energy performance while providing the process for building systems integration. The BIM model should assist the team with sustainable and green strategies. Material and methods analysis should be an integral process and incorporated into the BIM and related processes. The Design model is to be made available to inform and assist the construction process.

  • Design Criteria The Engineer shall develop the roadway design criteria based on the controlling factors specified by the State (i.e. 4R, 3R, 2R, or special facilities), by use of the funding categories, design speed, functional classification, roadway class and any other set criteria as set forth in PS&E Preparation Manual, Roadway Design Manual, Bridge Design Manual, Hydraulic Design Manual, and other deemed necessary State approved manuals. In addition, the Engineer shall prepare the Design Summary Report (DSR) and submit it electronically. The Engineer shall obtain written concurrence from the State prior to proceeding with a design if any questions arise during the design process regarding the applicability of State’s design criteria.

  • Model List your model number of the product you are bidding.

  • Design Phase All Basic Services set forth in the Agreement with the exception of Interdisciplinary Document Coordination Review, conducting a Card Trick session, Value-Engineering services, Estimating services. Bidding Phase • All Basic Services set forth in the Agreement. Construction Phase • All Basic Services set forth in the Agreement. Post-Construction • All Basic Services set forth in the Agreement.

  • Design Development An interim step in the design process. Design Development documents consist of plans, elevations, and other drawings and outline specifications. These documents will fix and illustrate the size and character of the entire project in its essentials as to kinds of materials, type of structure, grade elevations, sidewalks, utilities, roads, parking areas, mechanical and electrical systems, and such other work as may be required.

  • Design Review At appropriate stages of design, documented reviews of the design results shall be planned and conducted. Participants at each Design Review shall include representatives of all functions concerned with the design stage being reviewed, as well as other specialist personnel, as required. Records of such reviews shall be maintained. Any computer software used to perform alternative calculations or verify clearances through the use of scale models or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) techniques shall be validated before the use of the application, with validation documented in accordance with Section 2.2.15. In addition, at each submittal to IFA for review, Developer shall provide hand calculations that validate any calculations performed by computer software.

  • Flexible Work Schedule A flexible work schedule is any schedule that is not a regular, alternate, 9/80, or 4/10 work schedule and where the employee is not scheduled to work more than 40 hours in the "workweek" as defined in Subsections F. and H., below.

  • Design Development Phase Services 3.3.1 Based on the Owner’s approval of the Schematic Design Documents, and on the Owner’s authorization of any adjustments in the Project requirements and the budget for the Cost of the Work, the Architect shall prepare Design Development Documents for the Owner’s approval. The Design Development Documents shall illustrate and describe the development of the approved Schematic Design Documents and shall consist of drawings and other documents including plans, sections, elevations, typical construction details, and diagrammatic layouts of building systems to fix and describe the size and character of the Project as to architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, and other appropriate elements. The Design Development Documents shall also include outline specifications that identify major materials and systems and establish, in general, their quality levels.

  • Design Standards Most recent edition of the “Owner’s Design Standards,” including any partial updates as may be directed by the Owner.
