Description of Large Generating Facility including Point of Interconnection Sample Clauses

Description of Large Generating Facility including Point of Interconnection. The Large Generating Facility is a 74 MW wind power facility that will employ thirty-seven Gamesa 2 MW wind-turbine induction generators. Each of the thirty-seven units has a reactive power capability corresponding to a power factor range of 0.95 lagging to 0.95 leading (at the generator terminals) giving a gross plant reactive capability of +24 MVAR to -24 MVAR (sum of unit capabilities). Each generator operates at 0.69 kV and is connected to a generator step-up transformer (GSU) to increase voltage to the 34.5 kV collection system voltage. Each GSU is a three-phase grounded-wye / delta transformer rated 0.690/34.5 kV, 2350 kVA. Each GSU is connected to a collection system that has a total of three (3) 34.5 kV collector circuits. Two collector circuits each have twelve (12) wind turbines connected, while the third collector circuit has thirteen (13) wind turbines connected. The Large Generating Facility will interconnect to Transmission Owner’s Valley-Inghams #3 115 kV transmission line. The Point of Interconnection will be approximately 5.38 miles from the Valley Station and 7.01 miles from the Inghams Station. The Large Generating Facility will be located in the Towns of Fairfield, Norway and Little Falls in Herkimer County, New York. The Point of Interconnection is identified on Figure 1, in Appendix A.

As depicted in Appendix A, Figure 1, the Large Generating Facility’s Point of Interconnection (“POI”) is at Tower 25 on Connecting Transmission Owner’s 115 xX Xxxxx-Xxxx Line #9 (“Line #9”) – approximately 8.28 miles from Xxxxx Substation and 5.8 miles from XX Xxxx Substation. The Point of Change of Ownership (“PCO”) is at the insulators on the jaw side of the circuit switcher 988, approximately 600 feet from Tower 25.
Description of Large Generating Facility including Point of Interconnection. Con Edison owns an existing 172MW natural gas fired combustion turbine electricity generation facility known as East River 1 (“Existing Facility”), which Large Generating Facility is part of the East River Generating Station located in the city of New York, New York. Con Edison installed GE Advanced Gas-Path (“AGP”) hardware and controls on the Existing Facility. The modification included the removal of the existing combustion and gas-path hardware, replacing them with AGP specific hardware, installing flow sensors on the gas control valves, and performing controls modification. The modification was completed in the fall of 2014. This modification increased the output of the Existing Facility by approximately 12 MW to a total of 184 MW (“New Facility”). The New Facility is temperature sensitive and has a maximum summer capability and a maximum winter capability, as specified below, and as depicted in the temperature output curve set forth below in Figure C-1. Description of Large Generating Facility including Point of Interconnection. Developer now owns and operates the Energy-from-Waste electric generating plant formerly owned and operated by Occidental Chemical Corporation in the Town of Niagara Falls, County of Niagara, State of New York, with a nominal installed capacity not to exceed 42,400 kilowatts and associated electric energy, which is approximately 335,000,000 kilowatt-hours per year.
Description of Large Generating Facility including Point of Interconnection. The Large Generating Facility is a 118.14 MW wind power plant that will consist of 75, General Electric SLE turbines, of which 47 are rated at 1.62 MW and the remaining 28 are rated at 1.5 MW. Each of the 75 units has a reactive power factor range of 0.90 leading to 0.90 lagging at each generator terminal; resulting in providing an operating range from +57.2 MVAr to -57.2 MVAr for the entire generating facility (sum of unit capabilities). The Large Generating Facility will be located in the Town of Xxxxxxx and will connect to Connecting Transmission Owner’s 230 kV line #67 between the Xxxxxx Road and Xxxxx substations, approximately 12.5 miles from Xxxxxx Road Substation. The Point of Interconnection is identified on the one-line diagram attached to Appendix A.
Description of Large Generating Facility including Point of Interconnection. The Developer owns an existing Large Generating Facility, located in the city of Astoria, in Queens County, New York (“Existing Facility”). The Developer proposes to replace twelve
Description of Large Generating Facility including Point of Interconnection. The Generating Facility is a 122.6 MW (nameplate at rated power factor) gas-fired combustion turbines/combined cycle facility located in the City of East Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York. Developer is extending the operational term of the Existing Facility beyond its initial 20 years. The Generating Facility is composed of two 57.412 MW nameplate rated synchronous generators at 0.85 power factor each powered by two 40MW Gas Turbines and one 27.778 MW nameplate rated synchronous generator at 0.9 power factor powered by one 25MW Steam Turbine. The two gas turbines feed into one 3-winding step up transformer and the Steam Turbine feeds into its own 2-winding step up transformer. The step up transformers interconnect the Generating Facility to the Connecting Transmission Owner’s system at 115 kV. For the avoidance of doubt, the Parties acknowledge and agree that (i) the Generating Facility injects power only into the Transmission Owner’s transmission system and injects no power into the Transmission Owner’s Distribution System; and (ii) the Developer shall not be responsible for any Distribution Upgrades. Depending on atmospheric conditions for temperature and humidity, SUMMER DMNC has ranged between 87 and 88 MW net at 88°F while the units are at unity power factor. Winter DMNC numbers range between 104 and 105 MW net output at unity power factor.
