Common use of Department Director Clause in Contracts

Department Director. If the matter is not resolved to the employee's satisfaction at Step 1, the employee shall present the grievance in writing to the Department Director (and/or designee) within fourteen (14) calendar days of the immediate supervisor's written decision. A meeting between the employee (and the Union Delegate/Representative, if requested by the employee) and the Department Director (or designee) and a Human Resources representative (or designee) shall be held within ten (10) days for the purpose of resolving the grievance. The Department Director shall issue a written reply within fourteen (14) calendar days following the Step 2 grievance meeting.

If the matter is not resolved to the employee's ’s satisfaction at in Step 1, the employee (and the Union xxxxxxx and/or Union Representative) shall reduce the grievance to writing and present the grievance in writing to the Department Director (and/or Human Resources ManagerBusiness Partner, or designee) , within fourteen (14) calendar days of the immediate supervisor's written ’s decision. A meeting conference between the employee (and the Union Delegate/Representative, if requested by the employee) xxxxxxx and/or Union Representative and the Department Director (or designee) and a the VP of Human Resources representative (or designee) shall be held within ten fourteen (1014) calendar days for following receipt of the purpose of resolving the written grievance. The Department Director Head or designee shall issue a written reply within fourteen (14) calendar days following the Step 2 grievance meetingconference.

A meeting between the employee (and the a Union Delegate/Representative, if requested by the employee) and the Department Director (or designee) and a Human Resources representative (or and/or designee) shall be held within ten (10) days for the purpose of resolving the grievance. If a Union Delegate/Representative participates in the grievance meeting, representative of the Human Resources Department, or designee, may also be present at this Step 2 meeting. The Department Director or designee shall issue a written reply within fourteen seven (147) calendar days following the Step 2 grievance meeting.
