Common use of Dental Plans Clause in Contracts

Dental Plans. The dental plans offered and benefits provided by those plans shall be determined by the Personnel Department, in accordance with Los Angeles Administrative Code Section 4.303, upon the recommendation of the City's Joint Labor-Management Benefits Committee. Management will expend for full-time employees in the classifications listed in this Unit, who are members of LACERS, the monthly sum necessary to cover the cost of employee only coverage under the City-sponsored Dental Plan Program. Coverage for dependents of eligible employees may be obtained in a City-sponsored plan at the employee's expense, provided that such sufficient enrollment is maintained to continue to make such coverage available. During the term of this MOU, the Joint Labor-Management Benefits Committee will review all rate changes and their impact on the Dental Plans.
