Common use of Denial of Claim Clause in Contracts

Denial of Claim. If your claim is denied, in whole or in part, the Administrator shall provide you with written notification of such adverse benefit determination within 90 days after the receipt of the claim. Such 90-day period may be extended by the Administrator for a period of up to 90 days, but only if the Administrator determines that special circumstances require such an extension. If the Administrator determines that such an extension is required, you will receive written notice of the reasons for such extension and the date on which the Administrator expects to render a benefit determination on your claim. The Administrator will send you this notice prior to the expiration of the initial 90-day period.
