Definition of Violence. (a) Violence shall be defined as any incident in which a nurse is abused, threatened or assaulted during the course of his/her employment. It includes the application of force, threats with or without weapons, physical or psychological injury as well as severe verbal abuse. The Employer agrees that such incidents will not be condoned. Any nurse who believes he/she has been subjected to such incident shall report this to a supervisor who will make every reasonable effort to rectify the situation.
