Definition of Shifts (a) A shift starting on or after 6:00 a.m., but before 9:00 a.m. is a day shift.

Definition of Seniority Seniority shall be defined as the length of an employee's continuous service with the Employer, commencing with his/her last date of full-time hire. The application of seniority shall be limited to the preferences specifically recited in this Agreement.
Definition of Sole Source As used in this Article 3.2.16, “Sole Source” means a Trade Contractor or Supplier or Subcontractor specified by name in a Bulletin as the exclusive source from which conforming goods or services may be obtained. Designation of goods or services by reference to a named source accompanied by the qualification “or equal” or similar language is not a designation of a Sole Source as that term is defined herein.

Definition of Dependent The definition of a dependent shall include the domestic partner of an employee and the dependents of such domestic partner. Any employee claiming a domestic partner and/or the dependents of such domestic partner for purposes of this Article shall have an approved City Affidavit of Domestic Partnership form or a registered State of California Declaration of Domestic Partnership form on file in the Employee Benefits Office, Personnel Department, which identifies that individual as the employee’s domestic partner.
Other Definitional Provisions (a) All terms defined in this Agreement shall have the defined meanings when used in any certificate or other document made or delivered pursuant hereto unless otherwise defined therein.

Employee Definitions For the purpose of this Agreement, the following definitions shall apply:
Definition of Service Fast Post‐Fault Active Power Recovery is the recovery of a Providing Unit’s MW Output to at least 90% of its pre‐Fault Disturbance MW Output within 250ms of the voltage at the Providing Unit’s Connection Point recovering to at least 90% of its pre‐Fault Disturbance value for any Fault Disturbance that is cleared within 900ms. The Providing Unit must be exporting Active Power to the Power System and must remain connected to the Power System for at least 15 minutes following the Fault Disturbance.
