Common use of Definition of Confidential Information Clause in Contracts

Definition of Confidential Information. “Confidential Information” shall mean all information, whether or not originated by TFC, which is used in, or a part of, TFC’s business and operations and is (i) proprietary to, about, or created by TFC; (ii) gives TFC some competitive advantage or the opportunity of obtaining such advantage or the disclosure of which could be detrimental to the interests of TFC; (iii) designated as “Confidential Information” by TFC, or from all the relevant circumstances should reasonably be assumed by PSP to be confidential and proprietary to TFC; or (iv) not generally known by PSP. Such Confidential Information includes, but is not limited to, the following types of information and other information of a similar nature (whether or not reduced to writing or designated as confidential).
