Defence Reservists Leave. 62.1 An employee may be granted leave (with or without pay) to fulfil their Australian Defence Force (ADF) Reserve, continuous full time service (CFTS) or Cadet Force obligations.

Defence Reservists Leave. ‌ 184 An employee may be granted leave with or without pay to enable the employee to fulfil Australian Defence Force (ADF) Reserve and Continuous Full- Time Service (CFTS) or Cadet Force obligations. 185 An employee is entitled to ADF Reserve leave with pay, for up to four weeks during each financial year for the purpose of fulfilling service in the ADF Reserve. These purposes include training and operational duty as required and the following provisions apply:
Defence Reservists Leave. An employee may be granted leave (with or without pay) to enable the employee to fulfil Australian Defence Force (ADF) Reserve and Continuous Full Time Service (CFTS) or Cadet Force obligations. An employee is entitled to leave with pay, for up to four [4] weeks during each financial year and an additional two [2] weeks’ paid leave in the first year of ADF Reserve service, for the purpose of fulfilling service in the ADF Reserve. With the exception of the additional two [2] weeks in the first year of service, leave can be accumulated and taken over a period of two [2] years. An employee who is an officer or instructor of cadets in a Cadet Force may be granted paid leave of up to three [3] weeks each financial year to perform duties as an officer or instructor of Cadets. For these purposes ‘Cadet Force’ means the Australian Navy Cadets, Australian Army Cadets, or the Australian Air Force Cadets. Defence Reserve leave counts as service for all purposes, except for unpaid leave to undertake Continuous Full Time Service (CFTS). Unpaid leave for the purpose of CFTS counts for all purposes except Annual leave.

  • Reservist Leave 23.32 An employee who is a military reservist is entitled to take a leave of absence without pay if they are deployed to a Canadian Forces operation outside Canada, or to a domestic operation that is or will be providing assistance in dealing with an emergency or its aftermath (e.g. a search and rescue operation or a natural disaster response).

  • Advanced Sick Leave a. Employees who are incapacitated for the performance of duties because of serious disability or ailment may request advance sick leave not to exceed two hundred and forty (240) hours. These two hundred and forty (240) hours of sick leave may be advanced to an employee with a medical emergency related to the adoption of a child, for family care or bereavement purposes, or to care for a family member with a serious health condition.

  • Donor Leave An employee shall be granted the necessary leave of absence with pay for the purpose of donating bone marrow or an organ.

  • Parental Leave/Adoption Leave An employee will be granted unpaid parental leave for a period up to and including thirty-five (35) weeks, upon request and verification of:

  • Jury Service/Witness Leave 17.1 Employees called on for jury service are required to serve. Where the need is urgent, the Employer may apply for postponement because of particular work needs, but this may be done only in exceptional circumstances.

  • Payment of Paid Personal/Carer’s Leave (a) If an employee takes a period of paid personal/xxxxx’s leave and meets the notice requirements set out at Clause 44.3 the employer must pay the employee at the employee’s base rate of pay for the employee’s ordinary hours of work in the period.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave of Absence 1. Any employee may apply for an unpaid personal leave of absence for good and sufficient reason. Leave pursuant to this provision may be for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months in any fourteen (14) consecutive months. Such leave may be granted at the discretion of the appointing authority and shall not be unreasonably denied. Employees are encouraged to consult with their agency/department Personnel Officer to determine if they are eligible for benefits available under the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act. All requests for such leave and responses shall be in writing. The application for leave must specifically state the reasons for such application and the length of time requested. After completion of a period of personal leave of absence, the employee shall be entitled to return to the organizational unit, status and position held immediately prior to the beginning of the leave of absence. If the employee's position is abolished during any such leave, he/she shall be notified and allowed to exercise his/her rights under the Seniority Article of this Agreement.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Subsidy During Family and Medical Leave For employees who are on family or medical leave, under the provisions of Article 46 of this MOU, Management shall continue the City's medical and dental plan subsidies for employees who are enrolled in a City health and/or dental plan prior to the beginning of said leave. Employees shall be eligible for such continued subsidies while on a Family or Medical Leave in accordance with Article 46 herein. However, for any unpaid portion of Family or Medical Leave, health and/or dental plan subsidies shall be continued for a maximum of nine (9) pay periods, except while an employee is on a Pregnancy Disability Leave absence (up to 4 months), Management shall continue the City’s subsidy for her pregnancy health coverage (medical plan subsidy) in compliance with the provisions of SB 299 and AB 592 enacted in 2011.
