Deduction Authorization. The Employer agrees to deduct an amount equal to the membership dues from the salary of employees who authorize such deduction within thirty (30) days of the receipt of written notice from the Union that the employee has authorized dues deductions. The Employer will honor the terms and conditions of each employee’s signed membership card. The Employer will provide payments for the deductions to the account directed by the Union each pay period.

Xxxxx, Ontario and Local 876 of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union, I hereby authorize and request you to deduct from my wages an amount as specified in Article 2:04, and to pay each month the amount so deducted to the Financial Secretary of the said Union. New teacher paraprofessionals shall, prior to the end of the first week of school, sign and deliver to the Board an authorization form for deduction of membership dues and assessments of the Association (including the National and Michigan Education Association). Such authorization shall continue in effect from year to year unless revoked in writing between June 1 and September 1 of a given year.

Assignment Authorization Any individual who is a member of the Association or who has applied for membership may sign and deliver personally or through the Association to the Superintendent an assignment authorizing deduction of membership dues in the KCEA/OEA/NEA. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct the full amount for local Association dues with the payroll run on the last business day in September. The annual OEA/NEA dues shall begin with the payroll run on the last business day in October and shall continue for a total of ten (10) payments, concluding with the June payroll each year. The amounts to be deducted shall be reported to the payroll office no later than September 15 for the local Association dues and October 15 for the OEA/NEA dues. This dues collection process will begin in September 2008.
