Deductibles and Self-Insured Retention. Any deductibles or self-insured retention must be declared to and approved by the City of Pleasanton. At the option of the City of Pleasanton, either: the insurer shall reduce or eliminate such deductibles or self-insured retention as respects the City of Pleasanton, its officers, officials, employees and volunteers; or the Subrecipient shall provide a financial guarantee satisfactory to the City of Pleasanton guaranteeing payment of losses and related investigations, claim administration and defense expenses.
