Death of Other Family Members. An employee may be given approval by their supervisor to take up to two days with pay in instances of where there is a death of the following family members: niece, nephew, aunt or uncle.

Death of Other Family Members. ‌ If a Teacher’s absence shall be due to a death of the Teacher’s or the Teacher’s spouse’s aunt/uncle, the BOARD shall grant a leave of absence with full pay for two (2) days next following the date of death.
Death of Other Family Members. Up to five (5) days per occurrence may be used in the event of death of family members not considered immediate family. These five (5) days will be deducted from the employee's accrued leave balance or, if no leave is accrued or available, the day(s) will be unpaid.

  • Illness in the Immediate Family ‌ An employee may use up to one-half of his or her annual sick leave allocation in any calendar year in the event of illness or a spouse, child, parent, or domestic partner. At the City's request the employee will provide satisfactory evidence of the facts justifying such absence.

  • Death in the Immediate Family The teacher may take a maximum of five (5) sick days per death at the time of the death. Immediate family shall be interpreted as mother, father, husband, wife, grandparents, grandchild, child, sister, and brother of teacher and/or his/her spouse. One (1) of these days must be the funeral day.
