DAY WORKER. A day worker is an employee who is assigned to a job which is scheduled for eight (8) hours (with a twenty minute paid lunch period between the hours 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.) between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
DAY WORKER. An employee who during the period of such recreation leave would have worked on day work only - an allowance calculated at the rate of 17.5% of his/her normal salary plus, where applicable, any higher duty allowance or all purpose payment payable to the employee concerned.

16.2.2 A day worker who is called in with less than ten hours notice will be paid a nine hour penalty, which includes payment for the first hour worked, then double time for each additional hour worked. A day worker called in with less than ten hours notice will not work in excess of eight hours.
16.2.3 A day worker who is given at least ten hours notice to work overtime immediately preceding a normal work day, will be paid at double time for those overtime hours.
