Day of Celebration. The above holidays shall be observed as indicated on a Letter of Understanding to be executed annually by the parties.

Day of Celebration. The above holidays shall be observed on the same days as the Courthouse by employees scheduled to work according to Article 8, Section 3(a)(1). The above holidays shall be observed on their traditional date of celebration by employees scheduled to work according to Article 8, Section 3(a)(2) and 3(a)(3).

  • Holiday Scheduling Work assignments for holidays shall be prepared in advance of the holiday and when work is available, employees shall be given an opportunity to request to either work or be off. Such requests shall be granted to the extent possible in keeping with the operating needs of the work unit. When all requests cannot be granted within a classification and within a work unit, they shall be granted on a rotating basis so that each employee’s desires will be met as many times as is possible for each year, subject to Paragraph

  • Lay-Off An employee who has one (1) year or more of continuous employment and who is laid off is entitled to be paid severance pay at the time of lay-off.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.
