Date of Eligibility. An employee's eligibility for longevity pay will be calculated from his/her date of employment in the classified service, or the date of appointment to a permanent position in the unclassified service, to the nearest beginning of a month. The period of probation shall be included, but any employment as an emergency, temporary, or seasonal employee shall not apply toward longevity pay.
