CSG reviews and assesses the Customer’s contracts and agreements, and any acquisition plans, to determine if the solution vendor’s level of support for the current and projected database and supporting software will meet the needs of the Customer. ⮚ System Capacity: CSG evaluates the existing processing capacity of the system and verifies it meets current statewide needs for batch and on-line processing. The CSG IV&V team assesses the system’s historic availability and reliability including the frequency and criticality of system failure. We review and assess the results of any volume testing or stress testing and any existing measurement and capacity-planning program to determine the system’s capacity to support future growth and whether the system meets service level agreement response times. We determine if system peak load and maximum sustained processing capacity has been determined and whether there is a plan in place for automated performance monitoring. We also review and analyze system capacity studies and make recommendations on changes in processing hardware, storage, network systems, operating systems, COTS software, and software design to meet future growth and improve system performance. ⮚ Requirements Analysis: CSG assesses whether Customer and federal needs and objectives were analyzed and the functional and non-functional requirements are well-defined and documented to a level that facilitates system and test artifact development and test execution to meet project objectives and regulations. IV&V assessments verify stakeholders were consulted on the desired system functionality and users have been involved in prototyping the user interface.
