Data Protection 9. 2.1 By Accepting this Agreement, you agree that we may process data relating to you for the purpose of: (i) administering this Agreement (which may include sending communications to you and/or processing any payments made by you); (ii) to provide education and support services; (iii) using CCTV systems to monitor and collect visual images for the purposes of security and the prevention and detection of crime; and (iv) as otherwise permitted by the Data Protection Act 1998. Our processing of personal data may include “sensitive personal data” relating to you. Under the Data Protection Act 1998, “sensitive personal data” includes (but is not limited to) information about: (a) your racial or ethnic origin (b) your political opinions (c) your physical or mental health or condition: and (d) the commission or alleged commission of any offence committed or alleged to have been committed, the disposal of such proceedings or the sentence of any court in such proceedings. 9.2.2 We may share your personal data (including sensitive personal data) with the owner of the Accommodation (if not us) and our/the owner’s contractors appointed in connection with this Agreement or the Accommodation. 9.2.3 We, the owner of the Accommodation (if not us) and our/the owner’s contractors may share the personal data (including sensitive personal data) with each other, with your Sponsor (if you have one), with the police or other regulatory authorities, and/or with other organisations as may be permitted or required by law. 9.2.4 We will allow you to inspect certain information that we hold about you and you can ask us to correct or record your disagreement with the information we hold. We may charge you for the reasonable cost of providing copies of such information. Data Protection 9. 2.1 We will comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 as amended from time to time. We will allow you to inspect certain information that we hold about you and you can ask us to correct or record your disagreement with the information we hold. We may charge you with the reasonable cost of providing copies of the information. 9.2.2 By Accepting this Agreement you agree that all data supplied to us can be shared between our departments and with third parties (eg contractors employed by us to undertake services at the Hall, a Sponsor, the police or other public agencies) if it is reasonable for us to do so as provider and manager of the Accommodation. 9.2.3 We will not disclose sensitive personal information (eg medical records) except with your explicit consent or if we are permitted and/or required to do so by law.
Data Protection 9. 1 The Institution and Pearson are controllers in common in respect of the personal data which the Institution uploads via Edexcel Online pursuant to this Agreement. Pearson will use the personal data in order to quality assure use of the Higher National Certificate and Higher National Diploma Trade Marks, and to invoice the Institution in accordance with this Agreement, and in order to comply with any legal obligations. 9.2 The Institution will inform students that Pearson owns the Higher National Trade Marks and that personal data relating to their name, date of birth, gender, Programme and results may be shared with Pearson who will process it for administration purposes, in order to quality assure use of these Trade Marks, and in order to comply with any legal obligations. 9.3 For the purposes of this clause 9, "controller", "personal data" and "process" shall have the meanings given in the Data Protection Law; and "Data Protection Law" shall mean Regulation 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Data Protection Xxx 0000. 9.4 With regard to the use of personal data pursuant to this Agreement, each Party will ensure that it complies with its obligations under the Data Protection Law. 10 PEARSON OBLIGATIONS 10.1 Pearson will provide the Institution with the contact details of their University Principal Examiner who can provide curriculum advice and support in the application process. 10.2 Pearson will provide Institutions with a Licence Centre Guide, updated annually, which provides practical support and information for Higher Education Institutions (“HEIs”) operating under licence from Pearson. 10.3 Pearson will produce an annual summary report of the IRRs which will be circulated to all HEIs operating under licence from Pearson. 11
Data Protection 9. 2.1 We process personal data for the purposes of this Agreement as set out in our Privacy Policy. This includes how we process personal data which relates to people connected with you, such as your parents, your Sponsor, or your Visitors. If you are unable to access this web link please contact us and we will send you a copy of our privacy policy. 9.2.2 We engage various contractors to provide the Accommodation, including our sister company, UPP Residential Services Limited. The University and our contractors may collect personal data and pass it to us for the purposes of us providing the Accommodation to you and other residents of the Hall. Equally, we may share your personal data with the University, our contractors, and the authorities (such as the local council, immigration authorities, the Police, and the emergency services) to manage the Accommodation for you and for other residents of the Hall, and to comply with applicable laws. 9.2.3 Please note that your failure to provide us with your personal data when requested, or to keep your personal data up to date, may mean we cannot provide you, or people connected with you, with access to our accommodation services, we need to know who is on site at any time for the safety of all residents of the Hall. 9.2.4 We may need to process special categories of personal data about you or people connected with you (for example medical or health data which you give us to ensure your accommodation meets your needs, or if you have an accident or fall ill while on site).   • Data Protection All personal data contained in the agreement shall be processed in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the EU institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data. Such data shall be processed solely in connection with the implementation and follow-up of the agreement by the sending institution, the National Agency and the European Commission, without prejudice to the possibility of passing the data to the bodies responsible for inspection and audit in accordance with EU legislation (Court of Auditors or European Antifraud Office (XXXX)). The participant may, on written request, gain access to his personal data and correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete. He/she should address any questions regarding the processing of his/her personal data to the sending institution and/or the National Agency. The participant may lodge a complaint against the processing of his personal data with the [national supervising body for data protection] with regard to the use of these data by the sending institution, the National Agency, or to the European Data Protection Supervisor with regard to the use of the data by the European Commission.

  • Privacy and Data Protection 8.1 The Receiving Party undertakes to comply with South Africa’s general privacy protection in terms Section 14 of the Xxxx of Rights in connection with this Bid and shall procure that its personnel shall observe the provisions of such Act [as applicable] or any amendments and re-enactments thereof and any regulations made pursuant thereto.
