Daily Travel Allowance. An employee travelling to a job in his own vehicle inside of Zone 1 will receive no allowance. An employee who is required by the Employer to use his own vehicle to travel to a job in Zone 2 will receive an allowance of forty-five cents ($0.45) per road kilometre each way from the Employer's base of operation. The travel allowance will not apply when employees are transported in a company vehicle by the Employer.

Daily Travel Allowance. (a) A daily travel allowance will be paid by the Employers to their employees on the following basis:

If an employee lives within forty (40) to fifty-six (56) radius kilometers of the work location or assembly point, he shall receive per day travel allowance effective January for each day worked or reported for. If an employee lives within fifty-six (56) to ninety-seven (97) radius of the work location or assembly point, he shall receive per day travel allowance effective January for each day worked or reported for. An employee who lives greater than radius kilometers from the work location or assembly point and who travels to work daily from that location, shall receive per day travel allowance effective January for each day worked or reported for. When an employee is directed to report to a location that involves travelling around a natural barrier, the distance around the natural barrier shall be the shortest distance measured by a series of straight lines. The sum of the distances of these straight lines shall be applied to the ring concept to establish the employee's travel allowance entitlement. A natural barrier is defined as any obstruction or impediment which creates an unreasonable relationship between radius kilometers and actual kilometers travelled. The Employer reserves the right to base daily travel allowance on the distance in radius kilometers from where an employee lives to either the work location or declared assembly point, depending on where the employee is directed to report. Daily Travel Allowance. A flat daily travel allowance will be paid to each Employee, for each day the Employee reports for work and works as directed by the Employer. $45.00 upon commencement Due to the restricted nature of the construction site there will not be any facility or space for parking private motor vehicles. Therefore all Employees will be required to use Project provided transportation. The travel allowance includes reimbursement for all costs, expense and inconvenience incurred with any travel from the Project provided accommodation including the Village or Project provided transit pick up locations, to and from the Project Site, and to and from the workplace for the crew pre-start meeting.
