Daily and Weekly Hours of Work. (a) The following paragraphs and sections are intended to define the normal hours of work and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week or of days of work per week.

Daily and Weekly Hours of Work. The regular work week for all full time employees will be a five (5) day, 37 1/2 hour week. Rest Periods employees will be allowed two minute rest periods, one (1) in each full half scheduled shift without reduction in pay or without 'increasing the regular working hours, except in cases of where the rest period may be delayed. an employee performs authorized overtime work of at least three (3) hours' duration, the Hospital will schedule a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes duration. Time Off Between Shifts In the case of departments where employees are required to rotate on the day, evening and/or night shifts, the Employer will endeavour to arrange shifts there will be a minimum of twenty-three (23) hours between the beginning of shifts and change over of shifts and of thirty-nine (39) hours if there is one day off and of sixty-three (63) hours if there are two (2) days off between the chancre over of shifts. The employer may allow an exchange of shifts at the of two employees provided that its approval is obtained in advance and that no additional cost of the employer results from such exchange of shifts. Daily and Weekly Hours of Work. ‌ The standard work week for all full-time employees shall average thirty-seven and one-half (37 ½) hours per week exclusive of meal periods over the two (2) week pay period scheduled by the Hospital. It is understood, however, that this shall not be, nor be construed to be, a guarantee as to the hours of work per day nor as the hours of work per week nor as a guarantee of working schedules, and some employees may be regularly scheduled to work less than thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours per week. In such a case, employees shall be paid a pro-rated weekly wage based on the number of hours actually worked. The daily hours shall be 7.5 hours exclusive of 30 minutes of an unpaid meal break.
