Custodial Care. This plan does not cover custodial services, except when it is part of covered hospice care. See
Custodial Care. Any part of a service, procedure, or supply that is mainly to: Maintain your health over time, and not to treat specific illness or injury Help you with activities of daily living. Examples are help in walking, bathing, dressing, eating, and preparing special food. This also includes supervising the self-administration of medication when it does not need the constant attention of trained medical providers.
Custodial Care. Assistance with the activities of daily living that can be provided by non-medical/nursing trained personnel (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, etc.).
Custodial Care. Any service or supply, including room and board, which: is furnished mainly to help[Member] meet[Member]'s routine daily needs; or can be furnished by someone who has no professional health care training or skills. Even if a [Member] is in a Hospital or other recognized Facility, We do not provide for that part of the care which is mainly custodial.
Custodial Care. Services provided that do not require the skills of a professional and are generally provided on a long term basis, that include but are not limited to room, board and personal assistance.
Custodial Care. This is supportive services focusing on activities of daily life that do not require the skills of qualified technical or professional personnel, including but not limited to, bathing, dressing and feeding. Dentally Necessary Care. This is care which is limited to diagnostic testing, treatment, and the use of dental equipment and appliances which, in the judgment of a dentist, is required to prevent deterioration of dental health, or to restore dental function. The member's general health condition must permit the necessary procedure(s). Decisions about dental necessity are made by the HealthPartners Dental Director or his or her designee. Eligible Dependents. These are the persons shown below. Under this Contract, a person who is considered an enrollee is not qualified as an eligible dependent.
Custodial Care. The Plan does not provide Benefits for services, supplies, or charges for Custodial Care, convalescent care or rest cures.
Custodial Care. Services that are (1) not for the primary purpose of treating an illness or injury or primarily intended to help a patient gain materially improved functioning within a reasonable timeframe established in a plan of care, and (2) for the purpose of assisting with activities of daily living. Such services include, but are not limited to, help with: personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, skin and nail care, toileting, preparing meals and feeding, walking or transferring positions, giving medicines that are typically self-administered, and catheter care. Services may be Custodial Care regardless of whether such services are performed or ordered by a Provider and regardless of where the services are performed. Day Treatment Program. Mental health or Substance Use Disorder services on an individual or group basis for more than two hours, but less than 24 hours a day, in a Hospital, mental health center, Substance Use Disorder Treatment Facility, or Community Mental Health Center.
Custodial Care. Shall be defined as Services, whenever furnished and by whatever name called, designed primarily to assist an individual, whether or not totally disabled, in the activities of daily living. These activities include, but are not limited to, Services that constitute personal services such as help in walking, getting in and out of bed, assistance in bathing, dressing, feeding, and Services which do not entail or require the continuing attention of trained medical or paramedical personnel.
