Curriculum Review. The PARTIES recognize that, while the PROGRAM SPONSOR has expertise in the subject matter taught, the DISTRICT has expertise in educational theory and classroom methods and techniques. The PARTIES will perform curriculum review, make comments, and propose corrections based on their own expertise, and shall make corrections and respond to comments based in the expertise of the other party. Curriculum review will be performed when required by the Department of Apprenticeship Standards or by changes in the apprenticed industry or occupation.
Curriculum Review. DISTRICT shall approve all curricula in accordance with standard procedure apprentice RSI in the Program. No course of instruction or other element of the curricula shall qualify for college credit until approved by the DISTRICT. DISTRICT shall assist PROGRAM SPONSOR with a periodic review of the Program curriculum when such review is required by the Department of Apprenticeship Standards, or when required by changes in the apprenticed industry or occupation. DISTRICT shall provide comments and suggestions to PROGRAM SPONSOR for improving and updating the Program to comport with the latest teaching methods and practices. Any substantial changes to the curriculum will necessitate supplemental review and approval by the DISTRICT’s Curriculum Committee.
Curriculum Review. The changing of modality of a previously- approved course shall be subject to the same course revision approval process as any non-SOC, and may be subject to additional reviews as criteria for particular modalities are developed by the appropriate curriculum review bodies.
Curriculum Review. 7.081 A bargaining unit member may be contracted as a consultant for writing/updating curriculum and/or Courses of Study. The reimbursement for these services shall be established prior to the commencement of the activity.
Curriculum Review. Standards and benchmarks, exam maps, unit sequence calendars, and course descriptions will be reviewed during Summer Institute. Unit plans and trimester comprehensive exams will be reviewed by the director of curriculum and instruction before the start of each trimester. In addition, weekly syllabi, daily packet keys, and/or lesson plans will be reviewed on a regular basis.

They will help coordinate the development of new courses within the Department, including catalog descriptions, prerequisites and course outlines. Curriculum Review. 6.14.1 In accordance with the Anacortes School District Board Policy, 2020P and RCW 28A.320.230, the Instructional Materials Committee (IMC) is formed to establish and monitor procedures as may be necessary for the evaluation and recommendation of core material used by the district in conformance to stated criteria.
Curriculum Review. A curriculum committee will be established by the teachers, Board, and Administrators to develop recommendations on teaching curriculum and materials. The Board shall consult with the teachers concerning educational materials purchased.
Curriculum Review. In order to develop/promote a working relationship between the parties regarding curriculum decisions in the District, the parties agree to set up a Curriculum Review Program. This program is designed to integrate the current curriculum, the state minimum standards and the needs/abilities of the school population into a complete program for the District. The program will be ongoing and cyclic. During the initial years of the reviews, at least one (1) subject area will be considered. Bargaining unit members from each level as well as administrators should be identified as participants in this process. Schedule adjustments and released time may be provided as deemed appropriate by the Administration and agreed to by the members involved. The complete review, in document form, shall be distributed among the members to serve as a guide for curriculum. Bargaining unit members selected as a part of curriculum review committees shall be entitled to compensation/benefits and rights as established by this Agreement and its specific addendum, if any. Members in the area(s) being reviewed will be consulted and their input sought throughout this process. When the process is completed, and prior to Board adoption, all members in area(s) being reviewed will have the opportunity to examine the final report and make recommendations to the committee. The textbook adoption schedule shall be available to all members in the principal's office of each building.
