Current Position. Phase 1 of the Service Orders project has been completed with the roll-out of electronic requesting across the Trust. There are currently over 100 service orders defined across departments within all hospitals in the Trust, with more orders for departmental services being defined all the time. Phase 2, Implementation of Order Comms for radiology and pathology, has been delayed because of the late delivery of the new WinPath pathology system, implemented jointly by North Bristol and UHBristol’s pathology departments. Completion of this project has allowed us to commence Phase 2 of the Medway module delivery.

Current Position. 4.1 The PRG is not ring-fenced. It is up to each authority how to distribute it and how to use it. Consequently different authorities have devised different approaches and no ‘best practice’ has been established. In Bracknell Forest it has been agreed that the Council would put forward its proposals on how the reward grant is distributed, for agreement and ratification by all partner organisations.
Current Position. Under the management of the Head of Undergraduate Admissions and Widening Participation, the University has since 1998 implemented an integrated approach to widening participation which focuses on student recruitment and schools/colleges liaison. In addition P4P/Aim Higher activities have been integrated into the work of this Office ensuring effective operation and co-ordination of the range of outreach activities.
Current Position. The University has a strong record of recruiting students with disabilities. The proportion of the University’s home undergraduate population who have disclosed a disability to the University has increased from 7.6% in 2002-2003 (national average 6.4%) to 9.8% in 2003-2004 (national average 6.9%) to 9.1% in 2004-2005. The University is actively developing and promoting HE opportunities for students with disabilities, either for schemes available at Essex or its partners, or at HE institutions outside the county. It is also working to ensure that more students are given appropriate guidance on the support available to help them reach their full potential whilst in HE.
Current Position. The University operates a centralised Student Support service, which covers a wide range of areas, including guidance for international students, student counselling, support for applicants with disabilities and mental health needs, financial planning and support and welfare guidance.
