Common use of Current Certification Clause in Contracts

Current Certification. It is the responsibility of each employee to maintain current certification according to the current standards for the state of Washington. Employees who permit their certification to lapse or do not meet certification requirements shall immediately be placed on unpaid leave from their contract and shall not be permitted to return to their assignment until such time as they are able to provide Human Resources with proof of current certification. Employees who knowingly continue to exercise their contracted duties with a lapsed certificate shall be subject to disciplinary action by the District.
