Criminal Background Investigation. If Contractor employees and agents will be on the VCU campus, or have access to protected data as defined herein, Contractor must comply with the following: Contractor shall ensure that its employees, full-time or part-time, including newly hired, re-hired, seasonal, and/or temporary, who may have access to VCU confidential or proprietary information, or data about VCU personnel or students, have passed a criminal background check pursuant to the Code of Virginia, § 2.2-1201.1. Criminal background checks shall comply with the standards set forth in VCU’s employment policies found at: xxxx://xxx.xxxxxx.xxx.xxx/sites/default/files/Criminal%20Conviction%20Investigations.pdf Specifically, Contractor shall ensure an investigation is conducted by a third-party vendor utilizing courthouse records and national databases to obtain records within the past seven (7) years. Convictions related to drugs, violence and/or sexual behavior are generally considered job related due to the nature of the VCU environment and the need to provide reasonable levels of protection for students, patients, employees, visitors, and institutional resources.

Criminal Background Investigation. The Contractor shall complete criminal background investigations required by §§ 5-560 through 5-568, Family Law Article, Annotated Code of Maryland and any applicable Department of Human Resources’ regulations or policies.
Criminal Background Investigation. The Board is prohibited from knowingly employing a person who is convicted of committing or attempting to commit certain criminal offenses. In the event it is learned that there has been a prohibited conviction, this contract shall immediately become null and void.

The Contractor shall provide immediate notice to Department of any employees, agents and/or subcontractors suspected of abusing or misusing such access privilege. The Contractor represents and warrants that Contractor shall provide notice to Department of the changed status of any employee, agent or subcontractor granted access to Department computers, hardware, software, programs and/or information technology infrastructure or operations, including, but not limited to, termination or change of the position or Contract relationship.
Criminal Background Investigation. As a required condition of employment for new employees, the Superintendent shall authorize a criminal background investigation by the Board, pursuant to the School Code, a DCFS Child Abuse Registry background investigation, and Statewide Sex Offender Database Check.

Where appropriate, please include specific numbers such as number of events and attendees, number of clients receiving eligibility and enrollment assistance, number of consumers enrolled in coverage due to applicant’s activities, etc. Applicant’s track record and accomplishments in: o Assisting consumers, including those from the vulnerable populations the applicant intends to serve, in obtaining health coverage eligibility determinations and obtaining health insurance coverage, especially in-person assistance (10 points) o Conducting public education and outreach activities (10 points) o Providing information and services to individuals with varying levels of education and financial and health literacy in a manner that is culturally and linguistically appropriate. Working with individuals with limited English proficiency, individuals with disabilities, populations underserved in the current health insurance market, and vulnerable populations (15 points) Expertise of personnel (25 points) For current and past HHS Navigator awardees, applicant should describe the level of expertise in personnel both before and after receipt of previous Navigator funding, and how any additional funding in this category through this opportunity will be used for new activities related to developing Navigator staff expertise, including training newly hired staff and/or recertifying current staff. Staff Expertise in: ⭘ The private health insurance market, Medicaid program, and Health Insurance Marketplaces, including prior experience serving as an HHS Navigator grantee (5 points) ⭘ Conducting public education and outreach activities, including developing a marketing and communication plan (5 points) ⭘ Assisting consumers in obtaining eligibility determinations for health coverage and enrolling in health coverage. Criminal Background Investigation. As a required condition of employment for new employees, the Chief Officer shall authorize a criminal background investigation by the Board, pursuant to the School Code and a DCFS Child Abuse Registry background investigation. The Chief Officer acknowledges that this Contract is contingent upon the Board deeming acceptable the results of the criminal background investigation, the DCFS Child Abuse Registry check, a Statewide Sex Offender Database check, and a Statewide Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Database check. The Chief Officer understands that the Board has relied on the information the Chief Officer provided to the District in the application process in making its decision concerning employment and that the Board reserves the right to terminate this Contract in the event any information the Chief Officer provided to the District during the application process is untrue, inaccurate, or demonstrably incomplete.
