Credit Classes. Part-time and overload assignments will be paid at a percent of the quarterly base salary based on the FTEF (Full Time Equivalent Faculty) of the class and the pay type. Salary for part-time faculty teaching only a portion of a class will be determined by computing the FTEF based on the portion of the class taught and the mode of instruction for the class. Salary for faculty called on as long-time substitute (5 or more days) will be determined by computing the FTEF based on the portion of the class taught and the mode of instruction for the class paid on the faculty members daily rate.

Credit Classes. The district shall compensate a bargaining unit member for class preparation whose credit class is cancelled by the district one (1) week prior to the beginning of the semester, summer session, or term or during the first week of late registration and who is not offered another class or non-teaching assignment. Compensation shall be the equivalent of one week’s pay for semester length classes or the equivalent for short-term classes, plus actual hours worked in the classroom.
Credit Classes. Employees may make application for support for tuition for credit classes in areas related to the needs of the school division. Upon prior approval by the Employer, as well as upon proof of payment and of successful completion of the class by September 1st, the employee will be reimbursed for tuition, instructional materials and fees, or for a portion thereof for credit classes completed within the past twelve (12) months.

  • Class Sizes In the annual assignment of duties, the designated supervisor shall consult with the department in determining appropriate class sizes for individual courses. In making such a determination, the designated supervisor shall consider operational requirements, sound pedagogical principles, and the workload implication of teaching such courses (also see Letter of Understanding #3).
