Courses of Study. UTRGV’s Department of Social Work will accept the complete set of lower division courses from a student who receives an Associate of Arts in Social Work (AA - SOCW) from STC and is admitted to UTRGV. • The total number of transfer hours will be capped at 60 (sixty) semester hours. The maximum number of lower division sociology courses will be capped at 18 semester hours. • All STC courses transferred to UTRGV shall be part of the Lower Division Academic Course Guide Manual issued by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. • For the STC Associate of Arts in Social Work, students will be required to take the following six courses (18 hours), all part of the Lower Division Academic Course Guide Manual and Texas Academic Course Guide Manual issued by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. These STC courses will transfer to the UTRGV Bachelor of Social Work degree as follows: STC UTRGV SOCW 2361 Introduction to Social Work SOCW 2361 Introduction to the Social Work Profession SOCW 2362 Social Welfare as a Social Institution SOCW 2362 The Social Welfare Institution SOCI 1301 Introduction to Sociology SOCI 1301 Introduction to Sociology PSYC 2301 General Psychology PSYC 2301 General Psychology SOCI 1306 Social Problems SOCI 1323 Social problems (free elective) • For the STC Associate of Arts in Social Work, students are required to take the following course (3 hours) as their Social and Behavioral Sciences elective of the Core Curriculum. This course is part of the Lower Division Academic Course Guide Manual and Texas Academic Course Guide Manual issued by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Courses of Study. YHSECA xxxx primarily provide courses of study which meet the requirements of the Associates of Arts Degree (Multidiscipline nary) and the Distinguished Level of Achievement diploma, in the following endorsement categories: STEM, Business and Industry, Public Services, Arts and Humanities, and Multidisciplinary Studies. YHSECA students who meet the placement and prerequisite requirements may also pursue an Associate's of' Science Degree. Additional courses of study will be approved by the campus principal and EPCC xxxx on an individual basis.

Courses of Study. Educational assistance will be provided only for courses of study which are directly related to the employee's present job or which will enhance the employee's potential for advancement to a position within the Authority which he/she has a reasonable expectation of achieving. The courses or programs must be offered by accredited institutions of learning. The maximum tuition reimbursement will be determined by the lesser of the actual tuition cost or the current University of Nevada Las Vegas regular graduation rate. In no case will the authority provide educational assistance beyond the master’s degree level.
