Course Reimbursement. A. The sum of up to $12,000.00 will be made available for course or workshop reimbursement to unit members under the pro-visions of this article. The district shall reimburse each unit member up to 3/4 of the per credit charge at the UNH in-state rate toward tuition for the first course, each approved course successfully completed at an accredited college or university. No unit member should expect reimbursement for more than one course until May 1st. However, after that time any unexpended money maybe used for multiple class reimbursement. If there is enough money left, all people who have a second course will be reimbursed based on the above formula, then those with a third course, etc. If there is not enough money to full pay for all the courses at that level, then the remaining amount will be evenly divided by the teachers involved. An approved course should be in the unit member’s major field (or part of a degree program within the unit member’s major field), required for certification, or aligned with district goals. The maximum credits outside the major teaching area, required for certification, or aligned with district goals allowable in any one school year shall be limited to six (6) credits of the twelve. The district shall reimburse each unit member for the workshop fee. To be eligible for tuition or workshop reimbursement, courses and workshops must be approved by the Superintendent in advance of the unit member’s registration. When a grant or aid is received from a source other than the district, that sum shall be subtracted from the district’s reimbursement. Courses or workshops taken during the summer session will be reimbursed during the thirty (30) day period following the opening of school in September. Courses and workshops completed between September 1 and May 3l will be reimbursed upon proof of completion. The unit member must be teaching in the district during the reimbursement period to be eligible for reimbursement. Reimbursement will be made within thirty (30) working days upon submission of proof of successful completion of the course or workshop; except that no unit member shall be reimbursed for a second course until all those eligible for a first reimbursement have received payment. Reports will be made to the Association President on a monthly basis advising them of the balances.
Course Reimbursement. 6.5.1 The School Board shall reimburse each employee up to $1,260 per year for approved courses. Course Reimbursement. (a) Teachers who elect to take, and who successfully complete, graduate (post-college) level courses with a grade of B or better, or its equivalent shall be reimbursed at the rate of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) each per course except at a rate of three hundred dollars ($300.00) each per course for courses in the areas of Speech and Hearing, Teachers of the Deaf, Industrial Arts, Special Education, Computer Science, Data- Processing, Math, Science, Bi-Lingual (only in the areas where the City provides Bi- Lingual instruction), Allied Health, Culinary Arts and others which might be approved in advance by the Board, for the tuition cost of such course or courses up to a maximum of three (3) courses in any given school year provided that the teacher has attained, prior to taking the course(s), at least the MA level as listed in Article 25, Section 1, and the Salary Schedules in Appendix A and provided that the teacher has the prior approval of the Superintendent to take, and receive reimbursement for, a course or courses. A teacher may not use any course for which he or she has requested and received reimbursement to attain advancement to a higher salary column as described in Article 25, Section 1, and the Salary Schedules in Appendix A. Courses completed after July 1, in any given year, shall be counted as having been taken during the next school year. However, with regard to courses taken in the Spring semester (from January-May) or the Summer semester (May-June 30) teachers may apply for reimbursement the following school year but said course is credited to the prior school year for purposes of determining the number of courses. This shall not affect the course reimbursement for that current school year. The maximum a person may collect at a given time is nine hundred dollars ($900.00). The reimbursement payment prescribed herein shall be paid not prior to the first week of July immediately subsequent to the date of the successful completion of the said graduate level course.
Course Reimbursement. 1. Effective July 1, 2019, the Committee shall reimburse a professional employee in an amount not to exceed seven hundred dollars ($700.00) in any contract year (July 1 - June 30) for a course approved in advance by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent and which in the discretion of the Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent is directly related to the employee's area of teaching responsibility. Computer courses are related to all areas of teaching responsibility. Reimbursement shall be contingent upon the employee's obtaining a satisfactory grade in any such course according to the standards of the institution and submitting evidence of such satisfactory completion to the Superintendent. In no event will a grade lower than “B” or “3.0” be reimbursable. A “B-” will not be reimbursed. Courses for reimbursement must be college credits although not necessarily graduate level credit. CEU's will not be reimbursable. All evidence must be received no later than June 1 for payment by June 30. .
Course Reimbursement. The Board shall pay a maximum of two-thousand dollars ($2,000) per fiscal year for course reimbursement for college, adult education and/or trade classes. Reimbursement is limited to tuition, course-related fees and course related materials. Courses must relate to the functions within the plant maintenance, operations and pupil transportation departments, and may apply to promotional opportunities within and among these areas. All courses must be approved in advance by the Superintendent/Designee and the unit member must successfully complete the course to qualify for reimbursement.
