Course Assignments. 4.4.1 Normally, unit members will not be assigned more than three (3) different courses concurrently. A course is defined as any single discipline offering of three (3) units or more or any series of sequential discipline offerings where the unit total is at least three (3). Exceptions shall be by mutual agreement between unit members and supervisors.
Course Assignments. For each standard course, excluding special projects and independent study courses, identified in the College catalog, the credit-hour value, weekly "classroom hours" and weekly "laboratory hours" are designated.
Course Assignments. Directors and Coordinators of Interdisciplinary Academic Programs are responsible for the assignment of teaching but are limited in the event of a dispute to assigning courses to those whose regular teaching load is within that program.
Course Assignments. Salaried Adjuncts would be eligible to receive courses during the course assignment procedure set forth in Article 10, at the same time in the process as tenure-track faculty. It is understood and agreed that this may impact the availability of courses for other Bargaining Unit members. If these courses are cancelled, they shall not be subject to the course cancellation fee(s) set forth in Article 12. In the event of a reduction in load, the Salaried Adjunct’s salary would be pro-rated accordingly.
Course Assignments. 18.08 An ESL Instructor’s scheduling preferences will be considered when making course assignments, subject to operational requirements first being met. Any conflict between scheduling preferences will be resolved on a seniority basis.
Course Assignments. 14.01 The courses available each session shall be posted on the CCE Instructor site at least fifty-six (56) days before the beginning of the session. Instructors, as well as the Union, shall be informed by email when courses are posted.
Course Assignments. Appointments may include a varying number of Courses based on the Tier of the Bargaining Unit Faculty and the criteria set forth in this Article. Courses assigned outside the schedule above shall be offered to the Bargaining Unit Faculty on the qualified list for that course in accordance with this Section. A Bargaining Unit Faculty member who receives a course assignment shall notify the College of acceptance or rejection within two (2) weeks of the date sent. Courses will be offered to Adjunct Assistant & Adjunct Associate Faculty members in the following order:
Course Assignments. A Faculty member shall be given the opportunity to give input to the department on what courses(s) s/he would like to teach. Department chairs or their designees shall meet, upon written request, with a Faculty Member to discuss the Faculty member’s desire to teach an existing or proposed course or course(s).
Course Assignments. Directors and Coordinators of Interdisciplinary Academic Programs are responsible for the assignment of teaching duties following consultation with the Faculty Member. Directors and Coordinators will consult with the Xxxx on the workload of their program. The Xxxx shall determine if the teaching workload is equitable and fair. In the event it is not, the Xxxx will not approve the teaching workload.
Course Assignments. You will be assigned specific courses in a Letter of Appointment (hereafter, a “Letter of Appointment”) that will be issued in advance of the start of the academic year or applicable semester.
