County Administration. The budget adopts the Governor’s May Revision proposal to revise the budgeting methodology for county administration of the CalFresh program. This includes an additional $406.5 million ($159.5 million General Fund; $192.5 million federal funds; and $54.5 million county funds) in 2023-24. The new budgeting methodology is the result of several years of county advocacy and engagement and will more accurately reflect county costs while assisting counties in keeping up with increased demand and new program requirements.
