Common use of Cost of Premiums Clause in Contracts

Cost of Premiums. The Employer and the employee shall split the overall cost of the premiums for the benefits noted in Articles 31.2 and 31.5 on an equal basis [except for the Employee Assistance Plan which is paid one hundred percent (100%) by the Employer] if the employee has less than four (4) years continuous full time service. The ratio will change to sixty percent (60%) Employer, forty percent (40%) employee for those employees with more than four (4) years continuous full-time service (or equivalent for part-time employees, i.e., eight (8) years half-time service). The premium cost for all benefits which may be added in the future shall be split on the same basis as described in this paragraph except if otherwise agreed.
