CORPORATION SERVICE CREDIT. 5.01 Credit for Corporation service shall accrue to regular employees whether or not they are members of the bargaining unit. Corporation Service Credit shall be defined as the length of continuous service an employee has established with the Corporation from the most recent date of hire by the Corporation.
CORPORATION SERVICE CREDIT. 6.01 Corporation Service Credit is the relative status of employees as measured by length of service with the Corporation, in the bargaining unit. The purpose of Corporation Service Credit is to provide a basis or policy of right of preference as to lay-off, re-hiring, and promotions.
CORPORATION SERVICE CREDIT. 5.01 Service shall accrue to regular employees whether or not they are members of the bargaining unit. Service shall be defined as the length of continuous service an employee has established with the Corporation from the most recent date of hire by the Corporation. Seniority, as referred to in this Agreement, shall mean length of continuous service within the Water division bargaining unit since the last date of hire. All regular employees shall be on probation for a period of six (6) months. Upon successful completion of the probationary period he will be credited with seniority from date of hire within the Water division bargaining unit.
CORPORATION SERVICE CREDIT. Corporation Service Credit shall be defined as the length of continuous service an employee has established with the Corporation from the most recent date the employee entered the employ of the Corporation. It is understood and agreed that the actual time accumulated by a Regular or Probationary employee while employed by the Corporation will be deemed as service for the purpose of credits for sick leave and vacation. Corporation service credits, for the purpose of sick leave and vacation, will cease to accrue after thirty (30) days absence on sick leave, LTD or an approved leave of absence (other than Maternity and/or Parental Leave.) An employee shall lose their Corporation Service Credit and shall cease to be an employee of the Corporation if they:

  • Mediation Service The Mediation Service is a free and independent service available through MBIE. This service helps to resolve employment relationship problems and generally to promote the smooth conduct of employment relationships. Mediation is a mutual problem solving process, with the aim of reaching an agreement, assisted by an independent third party. If the parties can’t reach a settlement they can ask the mediator, in writing, to make a final and binding decision. A settlement reached through mediation and signed by the mediator at the request of the parties is final, binding and enforceable. Neither party can then take the matter any further and either party can be made to comply with the agreed settlement by court order. If the problem is unresolved through mediation either party may apply to have the matter dealt with by the Employment Relations Authority.

  • Mediation Services If we are unable to resolve the problem, then either party can contact the Department of Labour Mediation Service (a government department) for free assistance. The mediator will try to help us resolve the problem, but won’t make a decision as to who is right or wrong unless both parties want this.
