Conversion of Vacation. Effective May 1st of each year, Employees with ten (10) or more years of service, having used forty (40) or less hours of sick leave during the previous year, May 1 through April 30, may request to cash out up to forty (40) hours of vacation. A request for cash out shall be submitted by May 1st and shall be paid no later than the second (2nd) pay period in June. An employee is entitled to compensation, at the employee’s current rate of pay, for any earned but unused vacation leave at the time of separation from employment.

Employees are not permitted request the conversion of vacation during the life of this Agreement. The parties agreed to a moratorium on Section 20.4 during the life of this Agreement and any request to convert vacation leave will be denied.
Conversion of Vacation. An employee may make a written request to convert vacation into sick leave or bereavement leave in circumstances where this is justified. With the Chief’s approval, authorized vacation time may be converted to sick leave or bereavement leave when the employee experiences a major illness or injury while on vacation or; while on vacation, an event occurs in the employee’s family where the employee would qualify for bereavement leave.

  • Conversion of Sick Leave 30 A. Based upon accrual as of July 1 each fiscal year, employees shall be allowed 31 to convert sick leave in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Sick Leave Conversion On January 1 of each year, an employee may convert up to a maximum of 30 hours accumulated sick leave at fifty percent (50%) cash value for the sole purpose of reimbursing the employee for medical costs. This conversion is subject to the following:

  • Time of Vacation (a) All vacation earned during one (1) vacation year shall be taken during the next following vacation year at a mutually agreeable time.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Vacation leave may be accumulated to any amount provided that once during each fiscal year, each supervisor's accumulation must be reduced to two hundred and seventy-five (275) hours or less. If this is not accomplished on or before the last day of the fiscal year, the amount of vacation shall automatically be reduced to two hundred seventy-five (275) hours at the end of the fiscal year. Supervisors on a Military Leave under Appendix I shall earn vacation leave as though actually employed, without regard to the maximum accumulation set forth above. Vacation earned in excess of the maximum accumulation shall be taken within two (2) years of the date the supervisor returns from the Military Leave.

  • Conversion of Hours where an employee is granted vacation pursuant to this article, and where the regularly scheduled workday is greater than seven hours per day, the annual vacation entitlement shall be converted to hours on the basis of a seven-hour day and deducted accordingly.

  • Conversion Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Declaration or the By-Laws of the Trust, a favorable vote of a majority of the Trustees then in office followed by the favorable vote of the holders of not less than seventy-five percent (75%) of the Shares of each affected class or series outstanding, voting as separate classes or series, shall be required to approve, adopt or authorize an amendment to this Declaration that makes the Shares a "redeemable security" as that term is defined in the 1940 Act, unless such amendment has been approved by 80% of the Trustees, in which case approval by a Majority Shareholder Vote shall be required. Upon the adoption of a proposal to convert the Trust from a "closed-end company" to an "open-end company" as those terms are defined by the 1940 Act and the necessary amendments to this Declaration to permit such a conversion of the Trust's outstanding Shares entitled to vote, the Trust shall, upon complying with any requirements of the 1940 Act and state law, become an "open-end" investment company. Such affirmative vote or consent shall be in addition to the vote or consent of the holders of the Shares otherwise required by law, or any agreement between the Trust and any national securities exchange.

  • Cancellation of Vacation Leave When the Employer cancels or alters a period of vacation leave which it has previously approved in writing, the Employer shall reimburse the employee for the non-returnable portion of vacation contracts and reservations made by the employee in respect of that period, subject to the presentation of such documentation as the Employer may require. The employee must make every reasonable attempt to mitigate any losses incurred and will provide proof of such action, when available, to the Employer.

  • Preference in Vacation (1) A preference in selection of vacation time shall be determined in each work group on the basis of service seniority by classification within that work group.

  • Liquidation of Vacation Leave 31.5.1 Upon application by the employee and at the discretion of the Council, earned but unused vacation leave credits in excess of one hundred twelve decimal five (112.5) hours may be paid at the employee's daily rate of pay in his substantive position unless the employee has been in an acting position for more than six (6) months at the time of the request.
