CONVERSION OF SICK LEAVE TO VACATION. When an employee's sick leave balance accrued pursuant to Section 11.D hereof, reaches 155 days, 5 days shall be deducted from said sick leave balance and shall be converted to 1 day of vacation. Said vacation shall be added to vacation balances accumulated pursuant to Section 10. Vacation Leave, and shall thereafter be subject to the provisions of Section 10. Vacation Leave.

CONVERSION OF SICK LEAVE TO VACATION. At the election of the employee, when their sick leave balance reaches the maximum usable accumulation of 2,912 hours for employees who work 24-hour shifts and 2,080 hours for employees who work eight (8) hour shifts, five (5) shifts or days shall be deducted from said sick leave balance and shall be converted to one (1) shift or day of vacation. Said vacation shall be added to vacation balances accumulated pursuant to Section 8. (Vacation Leave). Employees may exercise their election annually in December which shall remain in effect for the following year. Notification shall be made in writing or by electronic mail.

County employees who are members of the Alameda County Employees’ Retirement System and who retire shall be credited for fifty percent (50%) of their unused paid sick leave accumulated as of the date of their retirement, up to a maximum credit of sixty-two and one- half (62.5) days.

CONVERSION OF SICK LEAVE TO VACATION. When an employee's sick leave balance accrued pursuant to subsection 21.D. (Cumulative Sick Leave) hereof reaches 1,040 hours, 40 hours shall be deducted from said sick leave balance and shall be converted to 8 hours of vacation. Said vacation shall be added to vacation balances accumulated pursuant to subsections 20.A. through 20.I. (Vacation Leave), and shall thereafter be subject to the provisions of subsections 20.A. through 20.I. (Vacation Leave), except that, with respect to employees who accrue vacation under Section 20.A.1, said sick leave shall be converted to vacation only to the extent permitted by the vacation accrual limit of Section 20.A.1.

  • Conversion of Sick Leave 30 A. Based upon accrual as of July 1 each fiscal year, employees shall be allowed 31 to convert sick leave in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Utilization of Sick Leave Employees who have accrued paid leave time shall be eligible for paid leave for any period of absence from employment which includes but is not limited to the employee’s illness; injury; temporary disability; medical or dental care; or to attend to members of the employee’s or the employee’s spouse’s immediate family or domestic partner or domestic partner’s immediate family, where the employee’s presence is required because of illness or as otherwise required by the state or federal Family Medical Leave Act or other State law. The Employer may, in its sole discretion, require reasonable proof of illness or disability and/or certification of the necessity of the employee’s absence.

  • Extension of Sick Leave Unless an employee otherwise requests in writing, an employee who has used up her sick leave credits shall be granted advanced sick leave with pay for a period up to fifteen (15) days subject to the deduction of such advanced leave from any sick leave credits subsequently earned.

  • Sick Leave Conversion On January 1 of each year, an employee may convert up to a maximum of 30 hours accumulated sick leave at fifty percent (50%) cash value for the sole purpose of reimbursing the employee for medical costs. This conversion is subject to the following:

  • Expiration of Sick Leave If illness or disability continues beyond the time covered by earned sick leave, the employee may be granted a disability leave or a personal leave in accordance with this Agreement.

  • Accumulation of Sick Leave The unused portion of an Employee's sick leave shall accrue for her future benefit, up to a maximum of one hundred and thirty (130) days.

  • Donation of Sick Leave The District shall allow unit members to donate sick leave to individual employees who have suffered long-term disabilities or illnesses. Donating unit members shall retain a thirty (30) day balance of sick leave after their donation and may donate no more than twenty-five (25) days of sick leave per year. The donation form is Appendix I. Part-time faculty may receive sick leave donations from any employee, and may donate accumulated sick leave to other part-time faculty following the same requirements as outlined above. Part-time faculty may not donate sick leave to full- time employees.

  • Notification of Sick Leave Days The Board shall notify employees and the Bargaining Unit, when they have exhausted their 11 days allocation of sick leave at 100% of salary.
